HDMI is a digital audio and video connector, available on select ThinkPads.
Models featuring this technology
DVI conversion
DVI and HDMI are electrically compatible, so if your display only has DVI you can buy a simple adapter to convert from one to the other. You will however loose any audio signal as DVI does not support it.
