This chip emulates the older Ricoh R5C476-II for CardBus functionality.
This function is supported by recent 2.4 and 2.6 kernels
FireWire Linux support
Hint:
Only the A31p ThinkPads with this chip have the FireWire function enabled, so if you don't have the FireWire ports, you will not see it listed in lspci either.
