I have a ThinkPad T61p with nVidia Quadro FX 570M. The Ubuntu 7.10 live CD will not install even in safe graphics mode. The alternate CD (text install) does install, but even the vesa driver does *not* work. The X server will not start with any driver or any combination of settings I have tried.
