I just wanted to thank you for adding the info about the popping sound on intel sound cards to the T61 Karmic page. It was starting to bug me but I hadn't thought enough to it to see if it was a Karmic bug. Thanks for keeping your (I would hope :-) fellow T61 owners well-informed!
