I've managed to add an article to the template itself, not to a separate file using the template. Could someone who knows how this interface works please edit this? I've been trying to understand it for a couple of days now, and I'm obviously missing something.

Pretty bad idea. Your article would be included with the Template everywhere. I created a page for your article: How to make ACPI work on a ThinkPad T23.
Also, it is written very personal. Please browse How to make ACPI work and have a look on the style the articles are written. Check if you provided double information, try to transform your article into a less personal style, make it more like instructions.
