ThinkPad 560 specs

The article says the ThinkPad 560 uses 16V 3.5A. According to the sticker on the back, my ThinkPad 560 draws 16V 1.9A, and its power supply (P/N 85G6706, FRU 85G6707) provides 16V 2.2A . --Thinker 17:32, 4 February 2006 (CET)

The information i used is pretty vague. Please just correct anything you know better. I didn't find a good source, yet. Wyrfel 14:30, 5 February 2006 (CET)

OK. Are we listing the specs of the laptop or of the bundled AC adapter? The latter tends to have a somewhat higher current rating.

Trying to do some cleanup, so I made some notes for later use on the main page

Unknown Coax connector

These ThinkPads are all compatible with the same power supplies, so they obviously use the same Barrel connectors. The 56W power supplies are backwards compatible and can be used instead of the 35W version.

4-pin connector

These ThinkPads all used the old 4-pin connector, but at various Watts

The "85G1522 Travel Quick Charger" was available over the entire lineup

This connector is still unknown. This is a 19V supply! In the article, these models were listed as 16V (fixed). --Numeric 04:32, 1 January 2012 (CET)
Now I have a i1411, it takes 19 volts and its plug has 2.1 mm inner diameter. The power supply has at least three FRUs (02K6900 11J8627 12J0539) and even more are listed in DocID PD012162. --Numeric 05:31, 22 December 2012 (CET)

ThinkPad 340 specs

ThinkPad 340 might accept 18V. I found on eBay a AC adapter allegedly for 340: rated output 18V 0.83A; P/N 84G6612; FRU P/N 84G6679; UL file number E133304 NAGANO JAPAN RADIO CO LTD. --Numeric (talk) 16:37, 26 February 2014 (UTC)

Original AC adapter that came new with ThinkPad 340 type 2610 is a coaxial adapter rated 18V, 0.83A. P/N 84G6754, FRU 39H2425. --Hawox (talk) 17:36, 3 February 2015 (UTC)

Good to know! Will you confirm, its inner diameter is 2,5 mm and outer diameter is 5,5 mm?--Numeric (talk) 17:16, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
The connector NOT 2,5 inner 5,5 outer. The connector is inner ~⌀3,5 mm. outer ~⌀6 mm. Also I confirm it absolutely accepts 18V, that also the 340CSE uses the same AC adapter according to maintenance manuals, (strongly suggesting all 34x). If needed I can update the Power Connector page with the information and photograph of the connector. --Hawox (talk) 1:00, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
A photo will be a useful addition. Do you have a 3.5 mm mini phone plug (such as microphone, earbuds, audio patch cable) handy? Try to insert such a plug into your 340 plug: if it does not fit, then 340 centre diameter is less than 3.5 mm. Then, I suspect it uses same connector as 350, 500.--Numeric (talk) 19:02, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
Headphone jack fits, with even some negligible space left. Using some calipers I estimated the internal diameter between ⌀3,59 mm and ⌀3.60. Picture: Media:18V-barrel.jpg --Hawox (talk) 15:38, 11 February 2015 (UTC)
Thank you very much, Hawox! I think 340 connector is distinct from all other ThinkPad power connectors.--Numeric (talk) 19:40, 11 February 2015 (CET)
Outside diameter turns out to be ⌀6.3mm (perhaps I should have measured that too more accurately using callipers .. updating now.
