Weird issues with Ubuntu Maverick, T410s

  • Had errors writing initial xorg.conf file
  • After writing file, had upside down mirror image elements in gnome

Solution was to switch from switchable graphics to always discrete graphics in bios. If you need to switch back to Intel for extended battery life, mv /etc/X11/xorg.conf file to "".back, reboot and change bios to integrated graphics, annoying but works.
