Does anyone have a clue on how to change the blending (i.e. front panel, bezel?) of a cdrom or dvdrom? changing of the frame was no problem, but i have no idea where to start for changing the panel.

It depends...the panels are attached in a broad variety of ways, so there are no general instructions. Look for little screws on the front of the inner drive tray. If there are none the panel might just be snapped into it with some lashes. Look for openings in the tray that look like something might be snapped into them.
