I just installed Slackware 10.1 on a ThinkPad 560E. My machine has 32MB RAM and a 2.1GB hard disk.

The external floppy from many ThinkPads works on the 560E. I used that to boot the machine.

I used Fizban's FTP installation method, and it worked with no problems. X Windows is working, but I haven't tried Gnome or KDE due to the limited memory.

I don't have audio working yet, but haven't tried hard.

Next step: Try install using NFS (just four floppies instead of five).
