This is how I installad SUSE Linux 10.0 on my new T43p.

Installation

I used the SuSE 10.0 OSS DVD booted from the internal optical drive. I wanted a dual-boot machine, but throwing caution to the winds, I decided not to create a set of restore CD's. Thankfully, after install, the boot loader prompted me to boot either Linux (default) or Windows.

For some reason, the network card was not configured during installation. To fix that, I simply ran YaST and configured the network card. After a reboot, it was networked via DHCP. The command I used to launch YaST was sudo /sbin/yast2
