But good news are, that you can do the upgrade yourself, the QXGA LCD itself is needed, new inverter and LCD cable, also new LCD hinges are recommended, but that's not necessary, price of parts needed for this upgrade is nowadays about $500. This is not my personal experience, but several people here: [http://forum.thinkpads.com forum.thinkpads.com] did it succesfully.
