The 500 series ({{500}}, {{510Cs}}, {{560}}, {{570}} and their various sub series) were the main line of the ultraportable ThinkPads. Starting with the [[IBM 486|IBM 486BL-25 Blue Lightening]] to the [[Intel Mobile Pentium III]], these machines had only a hard disk onboard. Any other drives were either external or available in the respective [[Docking Solutions]]. The successor of the 500 series is the [[ThinkPad series#ThinkPad X series|X series]].
