Skype does not seem to work with a lot of webcams, including this one. If you have problems you can try to start Skype by preloading certain modules. The command for this would simply be: <br />

LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so skype<br />

instead of just<br />

Or, on a 64-bit machine, Skype should be started thus:<br />
