IBM UltraPort Camera / UltraPort Camera II

IBM UltraPort Camera & UltraPort Camera II

This is a WebCam for the IBM UltraPort. It can also be connected to any USB port by using the included cable.

There is virtually no difference between the UltraPort Camera and the UltraPort Camera II. The latter one was in fact released shortly after the first one and the camera module itself is exactly the same. IBM changed the marketing name to distinguish a new packaging, which in addition to the original one included the following:

  • a small spacer to allow the camera to be attached to the UltraPort of X series models
  • updated software (new build numbers, not new versions), only few minor enhancements
  • FaceIt face recognition screensaver

That's it, nothing more to it.

  • 24 bit color resolution with color correction
  • 640 x 480 resolution for still images
  • 320 x 240 resolution for video at 30 frames per second
  • Image/Video Format V

  • Auto white balance (auto/manual)
