Realtek Fast Ethernet (10/100)

This is a Realtek Ethernet chip that is integrated on the systemboard of select ThinkPads.

Linux support

You may find that Linux tries to load the r8139 driver which does not work. Instead you need the r8101 driver which you will have to download from the Realtek website and compile yourself.

You may also have to blacklist the r8139 driver to prevent it from automatically loading by adding a line to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
